Our Sailing Base on the Costa Brava Spain for RYA Courses & Holidays
Our base is at Club Nautica Port D'Aro - a modern marina with first class facilities, including a swimming pool, sauna, bar and restaurant facilities. The club has classrooms and a private lounge area for our guests to relax and study in comfort. Your family and friends can use the beach or pool areas whilst you study for recognised RYA (Royal Yachting Association) qualifications. You can stay aboard one of our yachts whilst you study, or stay at El Mirador our luxury villa - just a ten-minute drive away from our yacht base.
Access by road
From the North, take the AP-7 motorway to Exit 8, the airport junction. Follow the road signs to Playa D´ Aro, San Feliu and Palamos about 25 minutes from junction 8. Take the first turning to Playa D´ Aro, and follow the signs to Port D´ Aro. It is also sign posted for the police station which is next to the marina.
From the South, take the AP-7 to Exit 9a – Costa Brava and follow the C-35 until you reach Playa D´ Aro (39Kms). Take the first turning to Playa D´ Aro, and follow the signs to Port D´ Aro. It is also sign posted for the police station which is next to the marina.
Access by train
The nearest train station is in Girona. Next to it is the bus station where there is a bus service Girona-Playa D´Aro. The bus takes about 1 hour.
Access by plane
The closest airport is Girona Airport (Girona Barcelona), and there are numerous low-cost flights there. We are always pleased to arrange taxi transfers to and from the airport.
Barcelona Airport is a slightly less convenient alternative, but has many more international flights. Once there, you can take a taxi or a bus to Estation del Norte and then catch a Sarfa bus to the Costa Brava getting off at Playa D´Aro. Alternatively we can organize a friendly taxi collection for you.
Girona airport is a short one and half hour flight from UK.
Ryanair flies from London Stansted, Bournemouth, Birmingham, East Midlands, Luton, Bristol and Prestwick to Girona and flights have been purchased for as little as £2.49!
Easy Jet has flights into Barcelona taking approximately one hour and costing around £25 each way.
